Ceremoniousness connected with birth of a child in Pelhřimov distrikt. The Role of the Midwife from the viewpoint of etnology.

The main theme of this bachelor's thesis is ceremoniousness, which is connected with the birth of a child in Pelhřimov district in the 2nd half of the 19 and the beginning of the 20 century. The second part of the thesis is primarily devoted to related ceremonial acts. The individual chapters are focused on conception of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium in the folk environment. This very intimate and rarely mapped area of family ceremoniousness is thus seen by means of period literature, articles, archive matters, records and registers. Considering the fact that midwives used to be the principal performers of ceremonial acts connected with the birth of a child the first part of the thesis concetrates on the midwifery issues. It deals with midwives education, their competences and collegial relationships.
Brownfields - comparison of rural areas in the regions of Pelhřimov and Jihlava

This master thesis, entitled "Brownfields - comparison of rural areas of Pelhřimov and Jihlava" focuses on the issue of brownfields, their typology, their characteristics and the terms associated with them. Core of the whole work was a field survey of selected municipalities in the Pelhřimov and Jihlava districts in which these objects were searched. Based on these empirical data, areas were compared not only with each other, but also with the public register of brownfields. The impact of brownfields on the quality of life of local populations emerged from the results of a simple survey. The aim of the thesis was to map the occurrence of brownfields in designated areas and the subsequent comparison between the evidence and the actual state.

Effect of drugs on the illegal behavior of traffic participants and its social impact in Pelhřimov district

The content of this thesis is to map the influence of drugs on the illegal behavior of traffic participants, including an adumbration of its social impact. Studying of the issue is done in general, and in its statistical representation focuses on the detected in-fringement of law committed under the influence of drug traffic in Pelhřimov district. The paper first describes several most commonly used drugs which are then processed into various subchapters including their impact on driving. Further on work includes subchapters according to their time-sequence from obtaining suspicion of drug use by the driver before driving to the way of communication with the suspect officers should choose, to confirmation of the initial detection of drugs in the body of the driver and outlining other actions for correct documentation of the whole thing necessary to prove the offense and successful investigation. This section also included a legislative defini-tion of the problem. Work includes a retrospective content analysis of statistically reported data of drug use by motor vehicle drivers in the whole country and drug drivers in the territory of the Pelhřimov district. Another method used in the processing of work was the method of analysis of available materials and method of comparative study. The goal is to illustrate the influence of drugs offenses in traffic and the number of detected cases of drug use by motor vehicle drivers before or during the journey, and bring the issue in tabular form, which will be used in the formation of a coherent view on it. The material is suitable for improvement of the performance of officers in the in-stitutions which take part in the hearings of infringements committed under the influ-ence of drugs in the traffic, mainly for Police of the Czech Republic and administrative authorities. Two hypotheses were established as the objectives of the work. The num-ber of infringements committed under the influence of drugs in the territory of the Pel-hřimov district is increasing. This hypothesis was confirmed by the collected data. The second hypothesis, that drugs adversely affect the driver{\crq}s ability to drive a motor vehi-cle, was also confirmed by the comparison of resources.
The labor market in the district Pelhřimov

The main goal of this Bachelor's Thesis is to analyze the labour market and its development in Pelhřimov. The first part contains the role of the state in the fight against unemployment, specifically the principles of active and passive labour market policy. Furthermore I looked into the development of the labour market after 1989 and its general drift. The second part follows the labour market in Pelhřimov after 1989 and contains the development of employment and unemployment. Part of this work is also the analysis of applicants according to the structural characteristics and 'problematic' groups of applicants. The active labour market policy in Pelhřimov is also mentioned.
